Ceramic tiles are used in both wall tile and floor tile applications; they are softer and easier to cut than porcelain. Non-porcelain ceramic tiles are usually suitable for very light to moderate traffic and generally have a relatively high water absorption rating, around 4%, making them less frost resistant and they are more prone to wear and chipping than porcelain tiles.
For some, the idea or replacing old tile with new sounds time consuming and costly. Don’t worry, there’s a way to change your look without a complete tile replacement! Painting your room tile is possible and can be the change you need to fit your needs. Keep in mind, it may not last as long as a tile replacement, but there are plenty of tile paint options available that have a longer lifespan than your average paint.
